UNIRAZAK 25th Convocation
Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNIRAZAK) marks a defining milestone this year with its 25th Convocation Ceremony, a silver jubilee celebration that honours not only how far the university has come, but the momentum that continues to carry it forward.
For 25 years, UNIRAZAK has grown alongside the ambitions of its students, evolving from a university with a vision into a learning institution recognised for its resilience, accessibility, industry relevance, and global outlook. Every convocation has reflected a chapter of that journey. From Empowering Dreams, to Going Global, to Breaking Through, each theme captured a stage of growth, ambition, and transformation.
This year, we take the next step.
We are Rising Up.
More than a theme, Rising Up represents a mindset of the courage to keep moving forward, the determination to rise beyond limitations, and the belief that growth never truly stops. It reflects the journey of a university continuing to elevate its impact, and of graduates who have persevered through challenges to reach this important moment in their lives.
Behind every graduate is a story of commitment and resilience. Some balanced studies with work and family responsibilities. Others overcame uncertainty, setbacks, or personal struggles along the way. Their journey was not always easy, but through discipline, sacrifice, and perseverance, they continued forward.
And today, they rise. But no one rises alone.
This achievement is shared with the parents who supported tirelessly behind the scenes, the lecturers and staff who guided with dedication, the friends who became pillars of encouragement, and the wider UNIRAZAK community that believed in the potential of every student who walked through its doors.
At the same time, Rising Up also reflects UNIRAZAK’s own ascent.
The university continues to strengthen its presence regionally and internationally through expanding academic pathways, stronger industry collaborations, growing global partnerships, and initiatives such as Akademi TVET UNIRAZAK (ATUR), which bridges technical expertise with future-ready education. As the world changes, UNIRAZAK continues to rise with it.
The 25th Convocation Ceremony is therefore more than a celebration of academic achievement. It is a celebration and a reminder that success is not defined by where we begin, but by the strength and determination that carry us forward.
As the Class of 2026 steps into a new chapter, they do so guided by UNIRAZAK’s H.E.R.O.E.S values: Humble, Empathic, Resilient, Organised, Enterprising, and Sagacious, ready to contribute meaningfully to their industries, communities, and the world around them.

Our convocation theme, "Empowering Dreams," encapsulates our commitment to nurturing the academic aspirations of every student who walks through our doors.
UNIRAZAK recognises that dreams know no bounds. For the Class of
2023, our dedication to fostering these aspirations is evident in the diverse mix of graduands, which includes the pioneer batch of students from the displaced persons (DP) community, the scholars under the BUDI PNB- UNIRAZAK programme, and the working adults under the Centre of Continuing Education. We understand that each individual's journey is unique, and we are determined to provide an inclusive and supportive environment which enables dreams to flourish.
For our BUDI PNB-UNIRAZAK students, we stand as a beacon of hope. Our partnership with Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB), the country's leading investment house, empowers these talented individuals to realise their potential and contribute meaningfully to society. We believe in the transformative impact that education can have on their lives and those around them.
The working adults who pursue their dreams at our Centre of Continuing Education embody resilience and determination. At UNIRAZAK,
we provide a flexible and conducive learning environment that recognises and caters to the unique needs of these individuals, allowing them to upskill, transition, and explore new horizons.
In embracing the displaced persons (DP) community, we provide a platform for those who have had their dreams disrupted by circumstances beyond their control. By offering educational opportunities, we restore hope and empower them to rebuild their lives and contribute to their host communities.
At UNIRAZAK, education is about embracing the human spirit's relentless quest for growth. We provide our students with the opportunity to pursue their academic aspirations, together with an ecosystem of inspiration and a solid support system as the foundation on which the students can thrive to transform those dreams into reality.
It is also a symbiotic relationship between us and our students, as they in
