Every journey to this moment has been different.
For some, it was filled with long nights, sacrifices, and balancing responsibilities. For others, it meant overcoming setbacks, uncertainty, or challenges that tested their strength and determination. But through it all, you kept moving forward and today, that journey has brought you here.
It is with great pride and heartfelt joy that I congratulate the Class of 2026 as we prepare to celebrate Universiti Tun Abdul Razak’s 25th Convocation Ceremony.
Each of you has risen in your own way. You rose above self-doubt, uncertainty, exhaustion, and the many demands of life while pursuing your education. Some of you balanced careers and studies. Some carried family responsibilities while chasing your dreams. Some faced setbacks that tested your resilience. Yet through every challenge, you kept going.
This year’s theme, “Rising Up”, reflects the spirit of perseverance, growth, and courage that defines your journey. It is about continuing to move forward despite obstacles, believing in your potential, and becoming stronger through every experience along the way.
Your journey also reflects the spirit of UNIRAZAK itself a university that continues to grow, evolve, and rise with purpose. As the world changes, we remain committed to providing education that is relevant, inclusive, and transformative, while opening pathways that empower students to succeed in an increasingly dynamic future.
Behind every graduand is a support system of parents, families, lecturers, mentors, friends, and loved ones who encouraged you through difficult days and celebrated your smallest victories. This convocation belongs to them too. Their belief in you helped make this moment possible.

It is with great pleasure that I extend my heartiest congratulations to each of you on your upcoming convocation. As the Vice Chancellor of UNIRAZAK, it is an honour to have witnessed your transformative journey as you pursued your academic goals and became the embodiment of this year’s convocation theme: Empowering Dreams.
As part of the Class of 2023, you should be especially proud of yourselves. You had begun your journey with us during the movement control order of the COVID-19 crisis when the entire world was experiencing a new normal, and you had to adapt to online classes with your lecturers and virtual discussions with friends. You took it in your stride and kept your eyes on the prize. The time has now come for you to reap the reward of your patience and perseverance.
UNIRAZAK takes immense pride in your success, and I look forward to personally congratulating you onstage at the ceremony on the 9th of December 2023, Insya Allah.
