Transformations are essentially a tough process to go through. It requires disruptions and sometimes a rough reality check. The end result however, is one of triumph and joy.
This year, we have witnessed global transformations as countries struggle to recover post-pandemic while nations have realigned themselves to ensure safety and survival of their economy and supply chains. The most drastic transformation is perhaps climate change which we have experienced its destructive repercussions.
The workplace environment too has its own set of transformations with more workers demanding work-life balance, a positive environment and flexible schedules.
It’s amazing to be living and witnessing all these and soon you will be the recipient or even the driver of even more positive changes.
As you complete this phase in your journey, Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNIRAZAK) is proud to have been able to equip you with skills and knowledge that will impact multi-generational lives. Use the education you have received and take action to transform the country into a highly developed nation. Do this, without forsaking the HEROES values you have embedded in yourselves. These values will take you far, help you adapt and face future challenges.
Most of all, make full use of the education you received at UNIRAZAK which was designed to prepare you to become individuals who create value for the communities you will belong to, be it the workplace, interests and families. Use it well and build on it through continuous and lifelong learning.
The 21st UNIRAZAK Convocation Ceremony is perhaps the most memorable for us as we enter the 25th year of existence on 18 December 2022. It is even more memorable now that we have returned to physical convocations while embracing digital conveniences as much as we can.
It is the university’s fervent hope that we all constantly embrace transformations and become better people; that we are idealistic yet realistic to be flexible enough to manoeuvre life’s challenges with ease.
Razakians, your convocation today is a celebration of one of many transformations and the beginning of a new life and future milestones.
Class of 2020, 2021 and 2022 Graduands, CONGRATULATIONS! You made it!
