Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNIRAZAK) continues to evolve steadily, boldly, and with purpose. From its modest origins, it has grown into a dynamic centre of transformation, resilience, and impact. Today, UNIRAZAK stands at the edge of a defining moment. Our journey, marked by ambition and adaptability, has brought us to a phase of acceleration and breakthrough.
The theme for this year’s Convocation, “Breaking Through”, embodies our collective emergence into new realms of growth and purpose. It signifies not just progress, but triumph over resistance and the bold pursuit of possibility.
UNIRAZAK’s convocation themes are intentionally designed as action-oriented milestones. Each one builds on the last, forming a cohesive narrative of our progressive direction as a University. Each encapsulates a chapter in our institutional journey and honours the transformative spirit that drives us forward.
For the first time in our history, more than 10% of our student body hails from beyond Malaysia’s borders, a vivid sign that the University’s vision now extends confidently into the global sphere. This year, over 100 graduates from China will walk across our convocation stage, bearing not only scrolls but also the weight of an increasingly intertwined future symbolising the enduring educational bridge between Malaysia and China, a relationship formally rooted in 1974 and flourishing ever since.
Each graduate carries within them a story shaped by effort, sacrifice, and belief. And together, these stories form the living narrative of UNIRAZAK in 2025. Over the past year, UNIRAZAK has found new momentum. We have welcomed more students, introduced innovative academic pathways, and deepened the trust placed in us by the communities we serve. Our international collaborations with partners in China, Pakistan, Indonesia and the Middle East, signal not just expansion, but leadership in shaping the global education discourse.
Our graduates are at the heart of this story. The Class of 2025 reflects the direction we are boldly pursuing. For the first time, we graduate our single-tier TVET cohort, a landmark in bridging the long-standing divide between academic knowledge and technical expertise. Through Akademi TVET UNIRAZAK (ATUR), we honour the dignity of skills, of hands that build, and minds that solve. This is a commitment to an education system that serves both people and nation.
The 24th Convocation Ceremony is a celebration of these breakthroughs: the University’s momentum as a global institution and the students’ triumphs in the face of adversity. It is a reminder that progress is rarely linear but always possible, and often most meaningful when it is fiercely earned through perseverance. It captures UNIRAZAK’s transformation. It celebrates our graduates’ growth. And above all, it reaffirms our shared commitment to cultivating ethical, courageous, and resilient leaders of tomorrow.

2023, our dedication to fostering these aspirations is evident in the diverse mix of graduands, which includes the pioneer batch of students from the displaced persons (DP) community, the scholars under the BUDI PNB- UNIRAZAK programme, and the working adults under the Centre of Continuing Education. We understand that each individual's journey is unique, and we are determined to provide an inclusive and supportive environment which enables dreams to flourish.
For our BUDI PNB-UNIRAZAK students, we stand as a beacon of hope. Our partnership with Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB), the country's leading investment house, empowers these talented individuals to realise their potential and contribute meaningfully to society. We believe in the transformative impact that education can have on their lives and those around them.
The working adults who pursue their dreams at our Centre of Continuing Education embody resilience and determination. At UNIRAZAK,
we provide a flexible and conducive learning environment that recognises and caters to the unique needs of these individuals, allowing them to upskill, transition, and explore new horizons.
In embracing the displaced persons (DP) community, we provide a platform for those who have had their dreams disrupted by circumstances beyond their control. By offering educational opportunities, we restore hope and empower them to rebuild their lives and contribute to their host communities.
At UNIRAZAK, education is about embracing the human spirit's relentless quest for growth. We provide our students with the opportunity to pursue their academic aspirations, together with an ecosystem of inspiration and a solid support system as the foundation on which the students can thrive to transform those dreams into reality.
