Akademi TVET UNIRAZAK (ATUR)
Siti Hajar Binti Anuar’s journey at UNIRAZAK began with curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to grow beyond expectations. At just 17 years old, she pursued the Graphic Design programme under Akademi TVET UNIRAZAK (ATUR), where her passion for art found both structure and encouragement.
What started as a personal interest gradually evolved into confidence, collaboration, and creative expression. Today, as a freelance artist working on digital commissions and custom painted pendants, Siti Hajar represents a new generation of ATUR students who prove that growth is not about being the loudest in the room, but about having the courage to take small steps forward.
Her recognition as the Best ATUR Student Award recipient celebrates not only her artistic talent, but also her personal breakthrough — from staying within her comfort zone to confidently embracing her creative voice.
Receiving this award feels very special to me because I never imagined myself being recognised in this way. I’ve never been someone who focuses on achievements, as helping others has always felt more natural to me. Still, this award marks an important milestone in my education journey, and I’m truly grateful for it.
What kept me motivated was the encouragement I received from my classmates and my lecturer, Miss Mimi, whose kind words and constant support helped me believe in myself even when I felt unsure. Their encouragement reminded me that growth doesn’t always have to be loud to be meaningful.

“Growth doesn’t have to be loud — sometimes it begins
with one small step and the courage to keep going.”
My biggest challenge was stepping out of my comfort zone and managing my social anxiety. In the beginning, I kept everything to myself, especially when I was surrounded by people I didn’t know. It felt overwhelming at times.
What helped me break through was taking things slowly — starting with small introductions and casual conversations. As I got to know my classmates better, I began to feel more comfortable and eventually became more confident and expressive. That experience taught me that growth doesn’t happen overnight, but it does happen when you allow yourself the time and space to open up.
One of the things I’ll always be grateful for is the people I met at UNIRAZAK. Being surrounded by creative and supportive classmates helped me feel less alone and more confident in expressing my interests. I also learned how important it is to take care of my mental health, manage my time well, and stop overthinking every small detail.
Looking ahead, I hope to continue my creative journey — whether as a freelance artist, opening my own art shop, or even working in the film industry. To future Razakians, my advice is simple: step out of your comfort zone at your own pace. Set small goals, even if they seem insignificant. Over time, those small steps will come together and become your own breakthrough.
