Even in his absence, the aura Allahyarham Tun Ahmad Sarji Abdul Hamid leaves behind in terms of his work and his persona still overwhelms you with immense respect. A man who was passionate about reading, education, work, sports, nation building and his family. He exudes a calm but commanding presence; demonstrating in his every conversation, his stature as a highly educated and knowledgeable man.
Born on 16 September 1938 at Kampung Batu Tiga, Tapah, Perak, Allahyarham was the eldest of 8 siblings. He came from a modest background; his father encouraged him to study hard and speak English while his mother taught him religion and family values.
Rohaiza Binti Azemi proves that choosing Economics isn’t just about passion for analysis. Her decision to choose Economics was also a strategic decision. The field gave her career flexibility to join literally many different industries such as banking, finance, government and business.
Obviously on a trajectory for success, this International Trade major, has exhibited not just leadership skills but skills in strategic thinking, teamwork, communications and analytical thinking. Rohaiza has successfully organised events or delivered on her executive council roles in university clubs. She has volunteered at the Kechara Soup Kitchen Charity Event as their Director demonstrating that leadership goes beyond age and Experience. Currently working as a Protégé for Hong Leong Bank Berhad’s GALCO (Assets and Liabilities Management), Rohaiza has interned at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) writing research highlights and scoping reviews for researches conducted for the Ministry of Health. Rohaiza graduates with a CGPA of 3.91 and receives her First Class Honours degree from the Tun Abdul Razak School of Governance.
Amirul Daniel Hakim has been recognised for his integration of academic excellence with accomplishments in the areas of leadership, athletics, community service, creative and performing arts as well as campus involvement. This Chancellor Award recipient chose Islamic Financial Planning as his major after realising that not many people have gone into the discipline, hoping to penetrate and become one of the best experts in the field.
Driven and committed, Amirul Daniel Hakim graduated with a 3.86 CGPA from the Bank Rakyat School of Business, Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship.
Born on 6th of May 1997 in Seberang Jaya, Pulau Pinang, Syakirah or known as Syak among her friends is the eldest of her three siblings. In 2002, she and her family moved to Kota Bharu and have been living there since. During her school years, Syakirah passed her SPM with flying colours (10As). She has always found Banking and Finance intriguing as it engages with the world of current affair. She was offered by MARA to pursue Bachelor of Business Administration (Islamic Financial Planning) in UNIRAZAK. With her mother’s background as an educator, she has always been serious in her studies – maintaining a final CGPA of 3.87 for degree and 3.94 for foundation.
Apart from that, she was also selected to represent UNIRAZAK for the 4th National Financial Planning Tournament in 2018 and PNB Investment Quiz in 2017. Besides, Syakirah believes that extra co-curricular is important to sharpen her social and leadership skills, in which she joins BRSBE Student Society. Being the Head of Media 2017/2018 and Head of Activity Team 2018/2019, she actively organised and participated in various events. She initiated to organise Practitioner Talk 1.0 which has now been a tradition program to the club.
